Asaduddin Owaisi

AIMIM party chief Asaduddin Owaisi advised his party workers to not indulge in civil disputes, following the arrest of AIMIM corporator Nazir Ahmed Honyal, on April 25. Honyal was arrested in connection with the stone pelting incident in Karnataka's Hubballi. Owaisi also asked his followers to "let law take its course". "We are here to help the people. Don't create problems for the public," said Owaisi to his party workers.

AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi, on February 14, shared a video of a teacher asking a student to remove Hijab before entering classroom. He called the act "humiliating" and said, "this is what happens when fundamental rights are suspended". He slammed the BJP and said, power is not eternal, BJP must remember this. Meanwhile the Two-minute video was shared by netizen, amid the ongoing Hijab row in Karnataka. 

During the budget parliament session, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, on February 7, addressed the recent Asaduddin Owaisi attack. He urged Owaisi to accept the provided Z category security, given to him by the Government. Recently, Asaduddin Owaisi's vehicle was shot, while he was campaigning for UP Assembly elections. Shah furthermore said, the UP police started an investigation in the matter and held two accused. 

After the recent attack in Meerut, AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi received Z category security. On February 4, the Government of India, approved Z security, which include 26 security personnel. Notably, on February 3, while returning to Delhi from Meerut, Owaisi's convoy was attacked by two people, Shubham and Sachin, who have been arrested. AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi, who is campaigning for Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, alleged gun shots. On February 3, Owaisi said he was on his way to Delhi from Meerut, when three-four unidentified people shot three to four bullets at his convoy. Taking a dig at the opposition, Asaduddin Owaisi asked the Election Commission of India (ECI) to order an inquiry in the matter, especially ahead of UP Assembly elections.
