JD(U) Expels Spokesperson Ajay Alok & 3 Others Over 'Anti-Party' Activities: Bihar
In Bihar, ruling party Janata Dal (United) expelled party's spokesperson Ajay Alok, on June 15. Besides Alok, the party has also suspended general secretaries Anil Kumar and Vipin Kumar Yadav from primary membership. Reportedly, the leaders were accused for running programmes against the interest of the party. "The decision has been taken to strengthen the party and maintain discipline in the party," said Bihar JD(U) chief Umesh Singh.

Tourist, Driver Fall Into River While Clicking Photos In Sikkim; Driver Found, Tourist Missing
In North Sikkim, the body of a local driver who fell down to river bed from Rit Chu Bridge while clicking pictures, has been recovered by Indo-Tibetan Border Police, on June 9. Reportedly, while clicking pictures, a tourist, and a driver lost balance and fell from the bridge. A search is on to find the missing tourist. Furthermore, the tourist who hailed fro Bihar's Patna, was holidaying with family.

Man Shot Dead By In-Laws For Marrying Girl From Different Caste In Bihar's Buxar
In Bihar's Buxar district, a man from Dumraon village was shot dead by his father-in-law and brother-in-law, for marrying their girl, against the family wishes. The victim was getting a haircut in a salon, while the father-son duo walked in with guns. After the first shot missed, they dragged him outside and shot him at least twice. Reportedly, the victim was form a different caste.

Lalu Prasad Yadav To Undergo Kidney Transplant, Seeks Passport Renewal & Permission For Foreign Travel
Former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav has approached the CBI, seeking for the release of his passport, to travel abroad for kidney transplant. Yadav's lawyer said that once his passport gets renewed, Yadav will most likely got to Singapore for the transplant. He further stated that once the doctor's appointment is fixed, they will seek for permission to travel abroad in all five cases he has been convicted.

Spurious Liquor Claims Lives Of 2 In Bihar's Aurangabad; Over 70 Arrested
In Bihar's Aurangabad district, two lives have come to a tragic end after consuming spurious liquor, on May 24. Reportedly, the liquor was brought from Jharkhand and over 70 persons have been arrested in the case so far. Further details on the matter is Underway. Heavy Rains Kill 33 People; CM Provides Rs 4 lakh As Relief: Bihar
Due to gales, lightning, and severe thunderstorms, 33 people have perished in 16 districts of Bihar. On May 20, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar provided financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh to the families of those who died. Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered his condolences over the tragedy. A "yellow" warning for lightning and thunderstorm activity has been issued by the Patna Meteorological Centre.

Worker Dies After Falling Into 30 Ft Deep Sewer Tank In Jawahar Thermal Project: UP
In a tragic incident, Vinesh Yadav, a labourer, lost his life after falling into 30 feet deep sewer tank at the under construction Jawahar thermal project in UP's Etah, on May 14. His body was retrieved with the help of other workers. The workers refused to let the officials take away Yadav's body, and demanded Rs 50 lakh to be paid to the kin of the deceased.

BPSC's 67th Combined Competitive Exam Cancelled Amid Paper Leak
Bihar DGP SK Singhal announced that the Bihar Public Service Commission's 67th Combined Competitive Exam is canceled. The inquiry committee found the set C of the exam is leaked. Economic Offences Unit has taken the responsibility of the investigation, a team of cyber cells operating under ADC has been formed. The question paper leaked at 12 pm, just before the exam was scheduled to start.

Bihar Singer Gang Raped, Police Arrests 3 People
In Bihar's Patna, a professional singer (28) was gang-raped by three accused, identified as Pintu Kumar, Karu Kumar, and Sanjiv Kumar, confirmed police on May 7. Notably, the victim, who performs on functions was booked for an event, but when she reached the venue, the accused allegedly raped her. Somehow she escaped and registered a complaint with the police, who booked the accused under IPC sections and arrested them.

Prashant Kishor To Begin Padayatra In Bihar, Says Not Politically Inspired
Election strategist Prashant Kishore will start a 3,000 km 'padayatra' in Bihar, from October 2. On May 5, Kishor took to Twitter and said, "I will spend the next three-four years reaching out to people". He further clarified that since there are no elections in Bihar anytime soon, the act of Kishor is not a political agenda and no party is involved in it.
