PM Modi Inaugurates AIIMS Bilaspur In Himachal Pradesh
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the fully functional All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Himachal Pradesh's Bilaspur, on October 5. The AIIMS -- whose foundational stone was also laid by the prime minister in October 2017 -- has been established under the Central sector scheme Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana. AIIMS Bilaspur, constructed at a cost of more than Rs 1,470 crore, is a state-of-the-art hospital.

Rajasthan-bound Passenger Train Derails In Maharashtra’s Gondia
An express train which was on its way from Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur to Rajasthan’s Jodhpur derailed in Maharashtra’s Gondia district, on August 17. The incident occurred at around 1:20 am between Gudhma and Gondia. Reportedly, no casualties were reported and two persons have been injured. The tracks were damaged in the incident. Further details on the matter are awaited.

Himachal Pradesh To Get An AIIMS By 2022: Health Minister
While reviewing the development work of AIIMS Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya also directed the AIIMS authorities to complete the construction work by 2022. Reportedly, it will benefit residents of Himachal Pradesh as well as the rest of northern Indian people because they'll not have to travel to Delhi to get better health care facilities.
