CBSE Releases Schedule For Grade 10, 12 Exams; To Begin From May 4

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the board exam date sheets for classes 10, 12 on February 2. Reportedly, the exams shall begin on May 4 and would end by June 10. This is the first time when the Class 12 examination would be conducted in two shifts - 10:30 am to 1:30 pm and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Moreover, CBSE has released the full schedule on their website.

Maharashtra Education Minister Says Board Exams Possible Only After May

Maharashtra Educational Minister Varsha Gaikwad reported on November 6 that the state board exams of grade 10 and 12 will not be held before May 2021. She stated that at least 25% of the syllabus should be cut to enable the teachers to complete the course on time. Noting that the present situation of coronavirus would not be over any time soon, exams will be only conducted after completion of syllabus.

Compartment Exams for Classes 10 & 12 to Start from September 22: CBSE

On September 4, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) stated that those students seeking improvement in class 12 exam marks, can opt for the optional examination scheduled from September 22 to 29. The exams will be conducted along with the compartment exams for classes 10 and 12. Reportedly, the examinees have been instructed to wear masks and carry hand sanitizers to contain the spread of Coronavirus.
