Netflix on July 20, announced that it has ended password sharing in India. Furthermore, only members of a household will be able to access one account. The decision is part of a global crackdown, which was announced in May earlier on users sharing passwords with people beyond their immediate family. The company wanted to shore their revenue, which has been affected due to password sharing, confirmed sources.

The Central government is planning to shut down the telecom operator Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL). According to the report, a inside source stated that the intention is to transfer MTNL's workforce and operations to Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL). This is a drastic shift from the previous plan of the government to merge the two entities.The recent decision was due to debt and persistent losses faced by MTNL.

Amazon continues to layoff more employees in various verticals of India. This fresh round of downsizing is part of the broader layoffs announced by CEO Andy Jassy in March, affecting approximately 9,000 employees. India's passenger car retail sales declined by 11% in December, as a shortage of semiconductors, said Federation of Automobiles Dealers Associations (FADA) on January 5. Retail sales of passenger vehicles declined in December 2021 by 10.91% to 2,44,639 units from 2,74,605 units in December 2020.
