Romania To Feature World War I Female Officer On New Banknote
The Central Bank of Romania on November 26 launched a new banknote celebrating World War I Lieutenant Ecaterina Teodoroiu. Reportedly, She's the first female name depicted on Romanian money. The new 20 lei ($4.56) note will be in circulation from December. Notably, Teodoroiu initially served as a nurse during the war before dying in 1917. "By honouring her, we also celebrate the Romanian army," said Governor Mugur Isarescu.

Nigeria Pans To Launch Its Own Digital Currency 'e-naira'
Following Britain's decision to launch their own digital money, Nigeria's central bank governor has now revealed plans to launch the country's own digital currency named 'e-naira' in October. Governor Godwin Emefiele stated that e-naira will work as a wallet where customers can save their funds.
