Former Madhya Pradesh CM Motilal Vora passes Away At 93
Veteran Congress leader and former Madhya Pradesh CM Motilal Vora has passed away on December 21 due to post-COVID complications. As per reports, the 93-year-old Motilal was admitted at a hospital on the December 20 owing to urinary infection. Starting his career as a journalist, Motilal had switched to politics in 1968. Condoling to his demise, Rahul Gandhi said, "Vora Ji was a true congressman and a wonderful human being."

Former Karnataka Minister Sent To Judicial Custody For Two Weeks
Former Karnataka minister and senior Congress leader, Vinay Kulkarni, was remanded to 14 days of judicial custody, on November 9, by a Dharwad court. Kulkarni was arrested on November 5 by CBI in the murder-case of BJP leader and Zilla Panchayat member, Yogesh Gowda, who got killed in 2016. The case was handed over to CBI in 2019 and six people were arrested in connection with the murder.

Congress Goes for Organisational Overhaul; Working Committee Reconstituted
The Congress on September 11 has reconstituted the party's working committee, which now contains 57 members as opposed to 52 members earlier. The party dropped some of its senior leaders like Mallikarjun Kharge and Ghulam Nabi Azad from Congress' general secretary's post while appointing Randeep Surjewala for the same. A six-member team has also been formed to assist Sonia Gandhi on organisational matters.
