Congress Leader Questions Modi Govt About Rising Prices Amid Diwali

Hitting out at the Centre, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on November 3, said the BJP government must answer as to how will one celebrate Diwali when prices of food items are "skyrocketing" just a week before the festival. The Congress general secretary raised concern over prices of onions, sugar and pulses. She questioned Modi Government asking, "Diwali is a week away, but the prices of food items are rising."

Responding to the horrific incident of a 12-year-old rape survivor walking on the street of Ujjain in injured condition, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, slammed the BJP-led government. On September 28, Gandhi said women, girls, tribals and Dalits are not safe under Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Madhya Pradesh CM rule. Rahul Gandhi, the former President of the Indian National Congress (INC) held a road show and addressed a public rally meeting in Wayanad, Kerala. It is Gandhi's furst visit after being disqualified as the Lok Sabha member. Notably, after convicted in a 2019 defamation case for "Modi surname' remark, the Lok Sabha Secretariat issued notice to Gandhi. Although a Surat Court granted bail to Rahul, he is a disqualified MP.

Congress delegation To Visit Lalitpur To Meet Family Of Rape Victim

A six-member delegation of the Congress party is set to visit Lalitpur to meet the family of a rape victimn, on the directions of the party General Secretary, Priyanka Gandhi. Earlier on 4th May, the Uttar Pradesh police had arrested the Station House Officer (SHO) who had allegedly raped a minor girl when she was at a police station in the Lalitpur district, to file a complaint.

General Secretary of Congress Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, on February 23, slammed the BJP and SP, for diverting people attention. Former BJP leaders Sudip Kumar Barman and Ashish Kumar Saha joined the opposition Congress on February 8.
