A recovery rate of 98.71% has been recorded in the country, taking the total active caseload to 47,379. India’s daily positivity rate stands at 1.37%, and weekly positivity rate at 1.81%. Furthermore, India has administered over 216.83 crore cumulative doses of COVID vaccine, since the beginning of the pandemic.

China has reported its first case of the Monkeypox virus in the southwest city of Chongqing. Reportedly, the patient was already under COVID-19 quarantined following an international travel. The Chinese authorised have not disclosed the details of the patient, as to name, age and sex. The officials stated that the patient is being isolated and provided with adequate treatment.
