IMD Predicts Cloudy Sky In Delhi With Improve Air Quality At 188

Delhi witnessed partial cloudy weather on June 26, with a temperature of 29 degrees Celsius. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) the national capital alarmed for the cloudy sky and predicted the temperature to go up by 41 degrees Celsius, later in the day, with moist and humid temperatures. Notably, the relative humidity was recorded at 68%, whereas the air quality of Delhi was recorded at 188, under the 'moderate' category.

Delhi's Air Quality Recorded In 'Very Poor' Category

The overall Air Quality Index (AQI) of Delhi continued to drop and again recorded in the 'very poor' category as it stands at 301 on December 11. Reportedly, PM 10 was at 217 in the 'moderate' category, while PM 2.5 was at 121 in the 'very poor' category at 9:17 AM. Besides, AQI of Noida and Gurugram also remained in the same category at 301 and 303, respectively.

SC Reviews Delhi Air Pollution, Asks Govt To Submit Report In 24 Hours

The Supreme Court bench, led by CJI NV Ramana, on December 2 lashed out at the Centre and Delhi Government over deteriorating AQI in National Capital. The bench questioned tasked the governments to submit a report in the next 24 hours, with a solution to control the worsening air pollution in Delhi. The Court adjourned the matter, saying it may hear on November 3 at 10 AM for 30 minutes.

Delhi Govt Extends Ban On Trucks' Entry To Curb Air Pollution

The Delhi government on November 21 extended the ban on the entry of trucks carrying non-essential goods until November 26. It also asked the Government offices and the private offices to give its employees work from home till the same date. Reportedly, these measures will curb the air pollution level in the capital. Besides, Delhi's air quality remained in the ''very poor'' category till November 21, reported ANI.
