On the 50th day of farmers' protest, Karnataka Congress leader B.K.Chandrashekar has questioned the committee set by the Supreme Court to resolve the deadlock. Punjab CM Amarinder Singh has ordered retraction of 'Attempt to Murder' charge against farm laws protesters on January 6. CM Singh also issued the transfer orders of the Hoshiyarpur SHO, who filed the 'attempt to murder' charge on protestors. Reportedly, the protestors had unloaded a trolley full of cow dung in front of former minister Tikshan Sud's residency. The case is currently being probed by a Special Investigative Team (SIT).

Uttarakhand's Udham Singh Nagar district police have filed an FIR against 1000-1500 unidentified people for allegedly creating disruptions while protesting against the farm laws. Showing solidarity with the farmers, the protestors from Uttarakhand broke barricades during their march towards Delhi. The Delhi Police have installed gas heaters and coffee machines in the tents of the security personnel deployed at farmers' protest site at the Singhu and Tikri borders. It has also arranged water canons to tackle any fire-related accidents.  While keeping round-the-clock vigil, the 4,000 security personnel also take two-hour breaks on rotational basis.
