Government Fires 3 IAF Officials After BrahMos Missile Accidentally Fired Into Pakistan
Three Indian Air Force officers, including a Group Captain and two wing commanders, were fired with immediate effect on August 23 as a result of BrahMos missile misfire event. On March 9, a BrahMos missile was unintentionally launched from an airfield and landed near Mian Channu in Pakistan. A Court of Inquiry convened to examine the facts of the case and determined that three officers breached the Standard Operating Procedures.

Cats Responsible For Over 100 House Fires In South Korea, Says Officials
South Korean officials warned pet owners to stay on their guard, as according to fire officials, more than 100 fires were started by cats. In last three years, cats caused a total of 107 house fires, read a statement from Fire & Disaster Department. The cats, as per the department, are believed to have started fire by switching-on electric stoves by jumping and roaming around in houses.

Railways Orders Not To Charge Electronic Devices On Trains At Night
The Railway Board has instructed all zones to bar passengers from charging electronic devices on trains from 11PM to 5AM. The step has been taken as a precautionary measure against the increased cases of fire incidents on trains due to overcharging of electronic devices. The board has also issued guidelines against smoking and carrying inflammable items on the train. Notably, a similar order was issued in 2014 also.
