History! India Contingent Achieves Highest Medal Tally, At 71
India's rise in the global sports arena at the Asian Games 2023, as the Indian contingent achieved its highest-ever medal tally at the Games, at the 19th edition in Hangzhou. Their previous best was 70 medals in Indonesia in 2018. They took their overall medal tally to 71 on October 4, in the current edition by adding two more medals in the first half of the day.

BJP Gears Up For Rajasthan Elections, National Leaders Hold Crucial Meeting
BJP chief JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah held night-long discussions in Jaipur about the party's strategy for the upcoming Rajasthan assembly polls. The meeting began at a Jaipur hotel late on Wednesday evening and continued till 2 am, party sources said. The party has decided to field Union Ministers and MPs on tough seats, BJP sources said. After Vegetables, Indian Consumers Faces Sugar Issue, Govt Ban Exports
After battling months of hyper-food inflation of vegetables like tomatoes and onion, legumes, rice, etc., India is faced with another food problem – sugar. The low rainfall in August, especially in the sugar-growing areas, resulted in a drought-like condition and the government announced that it will ban sugar exports for the first time in seven years. Major producing states like Maharashtra reported a 14% drop( (lowest) in production.
