In Uttar Pradesh's Jaunpur district in Machhli Sahar's Rasoolabad, six men abducted a girl from her house and were seen trying to outrage the modesty of the girl on camera. The horrific video showed at least four men abusing the girl and forcing themselves on her. The girl fought the accused men even as they twisted her hand and attacked her physically. The case has been registered and investigation underway.
Bihar IAS officer and Women & Child Development MD Harjot Kaur apologised for her "you want condoms too" remark to a girl, who asked for sanitary pads at government-schools. On September 29, in apology, Kaur said, "I express regret if my words hurt any girl's sentiments. I didn't intend to humiliate anyone or hurt anyone's sentiments." The apology came after the National Commission for Women took cognizance and demanded reply.
Maharashtra's special POCSO court announced10 years' imprisonment to a father-son duo for raping the man's mentally challenged minor daughter. On May 2, the court bench led by judge Kavita D Shirbhate announced the verdict and imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 each. Furthermore, the accused were allegedly raping 15-year-old mentally-ill girl in Thane, since 2017, and were charged under the IPC and POCSO act.
Aligarh Muslim University suspended a 3rd-semester student in the English department for assaulting a girl student. In addition, the college administration has launched a further probe into the matter. As per reports, the accused used to harass her by calling at odd hours and sending lewd messages to the victim. Notably, the boy was given perpetual warnings and suspension lately by the college authority over the girl's online complaint.

An exorcist was held by the police for thrashing up a 14-year-old girl in Jharkhand’s Chatra district. It is to be noted, the girl had fallen ill after playing Holi so the exorcist, Maulana Md Wahid told her family that she will get well through the process of exorcism. Notably, the police have registered a case under the relevant section and launched a further probe into the matter.

A 30-year-old man, on March 25, was arrested for beheading an eight-year-old girl and walking around with the severed head in a village of Odisha's Sambalpur district. The report said that he visited a tube well along with the severed head and washed it. However, the motive behind the murder is still unknown. Notably, the police have arrested the accused and have initiated a probe into the matter.

Neeraj Chopra's interaction with a little girl has gone viral on Twitter. The video shows the 23-year-old almost kneeling in front of the little girl while speaking to her. "Mera favorite to aap hi ho" (You are my favorite), the girl said. Neeraj grins and tenderly pats the girl's cheek in response. IPS officer Pankaj Nain posted the video on Twitter.

Deepak Sainani, a petrol pump owner, earned a unique place in the hearts of his customers in the penultimate Navratri days by distributing free petrol in Madhya Pradesh's Betul. Sainani said he did so to mark the birth of a girl child to his specially-abled sister, Sikha Porwal. Reportedly, Sainani put a signboard, stating 5% discount on petrol worth Rs 100 and 10% on petrol worth between Rs 200-500.

Flora Asodia, an 11-year-old girl suffering from a brain tumor, was made collector for a day by Gujarat's Ahmedabad Collector Sandip Sangle on September 18. In Lucknow's Awadh crossing, a girl slapped a cab driver and created ruckus as the girl blamed that the car had allegedly hit her. The girl was seen thrashing him continuously despite him saying, "Aaplog mahila police bulaye (Call the women police)". She was also seen hitting another man who came to the driver's rescue. The traffic police tried to manage the situation, but the woman continued her act.
