Heavy Flooding In Southern Myanmar Displaces More Than 10,000 people
A senior official at the Ministry of Social Welfare, Lay Shwe Zin Oo, said constant rain in the Bago region that continued from the last week caused heavy flooding in the low-line areas of its capital, Bago town. It is said that there were no losses, but over 10,000 people had to abandon their homes. Bago town recorded 7.87 inches of rainfall hence it is its highest in 59 years.

Delhi Govt Initiates Free Food Program For Homeless
In alliance with Akshaya Patra Foundation, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on August 8 initiated a "food distribution program" for the destitute community living in shelter homes all around the city. The objective of the initiative is to supply meals to the homeless throughout NGO's 209 shelter homes which will provide food to 6000 people. "We have worked a lot for the poor", Kejriwal said.

Everything Cannot Be Provided To Homeless By States: Bombay HC
The Bombay HC dismissed the PIL on July 3 filed by a member of Homeless Collective, requesting the BMC to keep allocating relief funds for food, potable water, and free access to public toilets. On hearing the case, Justice Kulkarni said, "Homeless should also work for the country. Everything cannot be provided by the government." The homeless shelter scheme was provided by the government during the lockdown.
