The IMD predicted poor or worsening air quality index in coming days.  On October 14, Delhi recorded AQI in the moderate category, even as the city's air quality is likely to deteriorate to the poor category in the next few days. The Central Pollution Control Board's 24-hour Air Quality Index (AQI) bulletin showed that Delhi's air quality was in the moderate category at 154.

In wake of the major rainfall reported in Tamil Nadu, authorities in the state’s Ramanathapuram district have announced holidays for all educational institutes. On October 10, Tamil Nadu has been witnessing heavy rains while the meteorological department forecasted for the next few days.
