Pakistani Intruder Shot Down By BSF, Incident Happened Ahead Of I-Day
In Punjab's Pathankot region, near border, the BSF troops shot down a Pakistani intruder. The incident happened on August 14, ahead of the 76th Independence Day in India. As per the sources, the intruder was attempting to cross the Wagah Border, despite warnings from the BSF troops, the person continued to cross the border, following which the army shot him down. The open firing was said to be under self-defence.

Drones, Flying Objects Prohibited In Delhi Amid I-Day Celebration
Ahead of the Independence Day celebrations on August 15, Delhi Police on July 21, issued prohibitory orders on flying sub-conventional aerial platforms, including paragliders, drones and hot air balloons in the national capital from July 22 to August 16 for security reasons, officials said. The Delhi Police Commissioner in the official notice mentioned the rising terrorist threats in the region.

Criminal With Reward Of Rs 50,000 Arrested During Intensive Checking In UP
A criminal carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 was injured in an encounter here and subsequently arrested, confirmed the Uttar Pradesh on August 15. As per PTI, the encounter took place in Jagannathpur village in the Gopiganj police station area. The arrest was made during an intensive checking, in then view of Independence Day. Notably, the wanted criminal has been identified as Rajesh Gaur (36).
