China respects the sovereignty of Afghanistan and won't interfere in its internal affairs, Chinese Ambassador Wang Yi assured the Taliban's acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi during a meeting on September 14. Besides, he urged the Afghan people to independently choose a development path that suits their national conditions. Moreover, Beijing will provide an aide of $31 million including three million jabs of COVID-19 vaccines.
