On the 76th Independence Day, makers of 'Pippa' dropped the first teaser of the upcoming war film. The film stars Bollywood actor Ishaan Khatter as Captain Balram Singh Mehta.  The film is based on true events inspired by the war memoir 'The Burning Chaffees,' written by Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta. The story narrates about 48-hour-long Battle of Garibpur, fought on the eastern front of India during the Indo-Pakistan 1971 War.

The makers of 'Pippa' have signed Ishaan Khatter, Mrunal Thakur and Priyanshu Painyuli for lead roles. The movie which will be directed by Raja Krishna Menon is an adaptation of the book 'The Burinng Chaffees' written by war veteran Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta. Reportedly, Ishaan will be portraying the role of Brigadier Mehta in the movie. Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP and Siddharth Roy Kapur's Roy Kapur Films will produce the movie.

'Khaali Peeli', starring Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Pandey, is all set for its digital release on OTT platform ZeePlex. Reportedly, the film will start streaming on the platform from October 2. The official announcement for the same was made by both the actors on social media platforms. The film also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, and is directed by debutant filmmaker Maqbool Khan.

Zee Studios on August 24 unveiled the teaser of their upcoming film Khaali Peeli, starring Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday. The film is the directorial debut of Maqbool Khan and also features Jaideep Ahlawat. “Khalli Peeli is a young, edgy, mad roller-coaster ride," the director said. The release date of the film is yet to be announced.
