Jharkhand HC Will Moniter Dhanbad Judge's Alleged Murder: SC
The Supreme Court of India has asked the Jharkhand High Court to regulate the probe in connection with the Dhanbad judge's alleged murder on August 9. The SC ordered the CBI to report the weekly status to the HC. CBI took over the investigation of the case after CM Hemant Soren's consent. Reportedly, the judge was hit by an auto while jogging on July 28.

George Floyd's Murder Case: 45-Year-Old Cop Imprisoned For Over 22 Years
A year after the "I can't breathe" hashtag became a symbol of revolution worldwide, George Floyd's murderer has finally been sentenced to 22.5 years in prison. Accused Derek Chauvin, an ex-police officer had knelt on Floyd's neck for nine minutes blocking his breathing flow.However, the Judge prosecuted his sentence "on your abuse of a position of trust and authority, and also the particular cruelty was shown," to Mr. Floyd.

Canada Gets First Minority SC Judge; PM Breaks 146-Years Taboo
Justice Mahmud Jamal, the first official SC's Judge who belongs to a minority background in the history of Canada. However, Jamal was appointed on June 15 by the PM Justin Trudeau. Bollywood singer Sunidhi Chauhan has opened up on not judging reality shows anymore. Talking about the Indian Idol controversy, Sunidhi agreed that makers asked her to praise every contestant. Ex-judge on singing show Dil Hai Hindustani and The Voice, Chauhan claimed, “We all were told (to praise). That was the basic thing. CCB Detains Ex-HC Judge Karnan For Defamatory Remarks
Retired Madras and Calcutta High Courts Judge CS Karnan has been detained on December 2 by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) in Chennai. Reportedly, Karnan was arrested for the defamatory remarks that he had made against the women and judges of the Supreme Court in the past. However, he has refused the charges. Earlier, he had been interrogated by the CCB on November 26 regarding the charges.

Former HC Judge CS Karnan Booked For Controversial Remarks Against Judges
Former High Court judge CS Karnan was booked by the Chennai Police under Section 153 and 509 on October 27. Earlier, he had accused that Supreme Court and High Court judges had "sexually assaulted women court staff and women judges". Reportedly, a senior advocate wrote to Chief Justice of India stating that Karnan's remarks "amount to a horrific act of violence and an affront to the dignity of all women".
