Veteran Kannada Actor Kala Tapasvi Rajesh Passes Away At 89
Kannada Film Industry actor Kala Tapasvi Rajesh died on February 19, at a private hospital in Bengaluru. As per reports, he was hospitalised due to age-related ailments about a week ago. Born in Bangalore on April 15, 1932, Rajesh had acted in more than 150 films as a lead actor in the 60s and 70s. Notably, his final rites will be performed at the Vidyaranyapura residence in Bangalore.

Kannada Actor Shivaram Passes Away Due To Brain Haemorrhage
Kannada actor Shivaram died at a private at the age of 83 on December 4 in Bengaluru. Reportedly, he was rushed to the hospital after he collapsed at his house while performing puja on November 30. Doctors revealed he suffered a brain hemorrhage but surgery wasn't conducted considering his age. Details of his last rites will be announced soon. Notably, he had been in the film industry since 1958.

Late Kannada Actor Puneeth Rajkumar's Funeral Performed In Bengaluru
Late Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar's death rituals were held with state honors at Sree Kanteerava Studios in Bengaluru on October 31. Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai, along with a large number of admirers were present to pay their tribute to the late actor. Following his acting debut in 2002 "Appu," the 46-year-old actor starred in 29 films, the most recent being "Yuvarathnaa." However, Puneeth perished due to a heart attack.

Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar has reportedly passed away at Bengaluru's Vikram hospital due to a heart attack that he suffered at 11:30 am, on October 29. As per sources, Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai rushed to the hospital following the news. The 46-year-old actor has played the lead role in about 29 films and is fondly nicknamed "power star" by the beloved fans.

FIR Against Vivek Oberoi's Brother-in-Law in Sandalwood Drug Case
The Central Crime Branch has filed an FIR against 12 people in connection with a drug racket in the Kannada Film Industry. The list included Vivek Oberoi's brother-in-law Aditya Alva as well. Indrajit Lankesh Claims at Least 15 in Kannada Film Industry Involved in Drug Trade
Sandalwood Filmmaker, Indrajit Lankesh, who had given a statement that the drug trade was evident in the Kannada film industry, was summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) to provide information on the same. Subsequently, he has revealed names of at least 15 people, including "musicians and actors" who are said to be involved in the drug business.
