Pakistan Reports 1st Omicron Case In Karachi Woman: COVID-19
Pakistan reported its first case of COVID-19's Omicron variant in a 57-year-old unvaccinated woman on December 13. The National Command and Operation Centre confirmed the news. "The National Institute of Health, Islamabad has been able to confirm that a recently suspected sample from Karachi is indeed the Omicron variant," tweeted NCOC. Reportedly, she's in quarantine at home and stable. The NCOC also urged people to get vaccine doses.

3 Killed, 9 Injured In Bus-Coaster Accident: Pakistan
In Pakistan's Karachi, three people were killed and nine were injured in a bus-coaster collision and were later shifted to a hospital nearby. As reported by ARY News, a bus collided with a coaster near the Landhi Jail on November 29. Furthermore, road accidents in Pakistan have been increasing each day, reflecting the poor road condition in the country.

Lahore Most Polluted City In The World: Report
United States Air Quality Index, reported Lahore as the most polluted city in the world on November 11. Reportedly, the air quality in the city of Pakistan was recorded at over 600 on the air quality index. Moreover, an AQI of 681 was recorded in Gulberg, 626 at Raiwind, 541 in Anarkali Market, and 532 in Model Town of the Lahore district, with Karachi standing at the fifth position.

17 Killed In Karachi Chemical Factory Fire
A fire broke out at Karachi's Mehran Town chemical factory on the night of August 27 leaving at least 17 people dead. The bodies were taken to Jinnah hospital. Two firefighters were also injured during the rescue operation. "We have not received any word regarding any more people being trapped inside," Deputy Commissioner Korangi Samiullah Odho said. The cause of the fire is still known.

6 Years After Returning From Pakistan, Geeta Reunites With Her Family
After returning from Pakistan in 2015, Geeta, a deaf and mute girl, has finally found her family in Baigaon village of Maharashtra. Geeta, who had mistakenly reached Pakistan, was brought back to India in 2015 by the efforts of the then Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj. In Pakistan, the girl was found at the Karachi railway station and was reportedly taken care of by Bilquees Edhi, who runs Edhi Welfare Trust for over 12 years.

Sharjah-Lucknow Indigo flight made an emergency landing in Pakistan's Karachi on March 2 after a 67-year-old passenger Habib ur Rehman fell sick. With AQI Of 306, Pakistan's Lahore Declared As World's Most Polluted City
Pakistan's Lahore has been declared the world's most polluted city after its air quality index (AQI) dropped to 306, six-times over the limit. The data was provided by a Swiss company IQAir, which records the global AQI. Moreover, it has indicated Lahore’s AQI as ‘hazardous’. Experts fear the poor air quality would harm the population amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Pakistan’s Karachi also secured 7th Spot in the top 10 list.

Alleged Cylinder Blast Killed At Least Three & Injured 15 Others In Pakistan
Three people died and 15 others were left injured after an explosion took place in Karachi on October 21. The injured have been taken to Patel Hospital for the treatment. The nearby building's windows and vehicles were also damaged due to the blast. According to a SHO of Mubina Town Police, "It seems to be cylinder Blast" and added that a bomb-squad has been dispatched to investigate.
