Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on March 23, demanding a uniform policy for procuring food grains across the country. In addition, he also requested PM Modi to direct the Union Ministry of Food and Public Distribution to procure the entire paddy from Telangana. ''There should not be different policies of the Union government for different states within the country," said KCR.

Ahead of 2023 Telangana Assembly elections, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President appointed 33 district units presidents.  First of its kind move in the Telugu State, came to strengthen the ruling government party in Telangana. Notably, after the recent establishment of the BJP, the TRS government is leaving no stone unturned to ensure victory. The 33 presidents include 2 MPs, 20 MLAs and former ministers and MLAs as presidents.
