15 Dead In Himachal Pradesh's Kinnaur Landslide
The rescue team in Himachal Pradesh's Kinnaur district recovered another dead body while tracing the landslide's victim on the morning of August 13. The death toll has now reached 15 following the 10 bodies found on August 12 and four on August 11. The NDRF, ITBP, and the state police are jointly carrying out the rescue operation to trace 14 others, said State Disaster Management Director.

Himachal's Kinnaur Landslide: Death Toll Up 13, 60 Feared Missing
With rescue teams recovering more bodies on August 12, the death toll in Himachal's Kinnaur district landslide has risen to 13. Authorities and locals have hinted that more dead bodies are likely to be found during further search operations. Meanwhile, officials said that "60 others are feared of being trapped under debris after several vehicles, including a bus carrying 24 passengers", following the August 11 landslide.

Over 40 Stuck Under the Landslide's Wreckage In HP's Kinnaur
A landslide occurred on the Reckong Peo-Shimla highway in Himachal Pradesh's Kinnaur district on August 11. According to the deputy commissioner Abid Hussain Sadiq, a bus of Himachal Road Transport Corporation carrying 40 passengers stuck under the wreckage. Besides, ITBP tweeted, ''At around 12.45 Hrs. One truck, an HRTC bus and few vehicles reported came under the rubble.'' However, CM Jairam Thakur directed the ''rescue operations''.

Himachal Pradesh: Kinnaur Suspends Tourism Till November 1 to Contain COVID
Himachal Pradesh's Kinnaur, famous for its apple orchards and beautiful valleys, has decided to suspend tourism activities till November 1. The decision was taken to control the spread of COVID-19; and the district is second, after Spiti Valley, to extend the ban on tourism. Kinnaur Hotel Association announced the decision and stated that they cannot take risk of unforeseen circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic.
