Arjun Ram Meghwal Replaces Kiren Rijiju As Law Minister Of India

Union Law Minister Says More Than 2 Lakh Cases Pending In Andhra High Court

About 2,03,024 cases are pending in the Andhra Pradesh High Court and 5,82,069 cases are pending in other lower courts in the state, as of September 17. Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad provided the data in Rajya Sabha. While answering a question regarding the impact of COVID-19 on the judiciary, he stated that 15,32,334 cases had been disposed by the district and subordinate courts across the country since March 24.
