Shiv Sena rebel MLAs write to Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, stating the party minister continues to be the legislative leader of the Shiv Sena. The letter with signatures of 34 MLAs, came at a time when the Maharashtra Government is facing a political crisis, amid a tiff between Shiv Sena and Eknath Shinde, over the tripartite Maha-Vikas-Aghadi government. Aiming for development for poor, the Maharashtra State Housing Department led by Jitendra Awhad held a meeting with the Mill Workers Union representatives. During the meeting, the housing department proposed to allot 75,000 Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY) houses in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). Notably, the houses under the PMAY will be given to those who do not have houses in the country and would apply under the scheme.
