Universities To Start Offline Classes After Students, Staff Gets Vaccine Jab

Several educational institutions in Mangalore have started vaccination drive for their teaching as well as non-teaching staffs, and plans to extend service to their family members. Actor Sonu Sood Promises To Install 18 Oxygen Plants Across India

Actor-cum-philanthropist Sonu Sood has pledged to install 18 oxygen plants across India, starting from Andhra Pradesh's Kurnool and Nellore, and Karnataka's Mangalore. The plants will be installed in hospitals giving free treatment to poor people in Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Telangana, Rajasthan, UP, Bihar, MP, and Uttarakhand among others. Sea accident leaves 14 fishermen missing near New Mangalore Port.

12 Fishermen Missing Off Mangalore Coast; Rescue Operation Underway

In a Maritime set back, 14 fishermen off the Mangalore coast are missing. The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) said that two fishermen were found, and the rescue operation is underway to save 12 others. The officials have deployed three ICG ships and aircraft in search of missing fishermen's of IFB Rabah. Reportedly, the details of the accident is yet to be discovered.

Mangalore University Ranked As Most Sustainable Varsity In India

Karnataka's Mangalore University has been ranked 1st in India and 139th globally for the 'Most Sustainable University 2020' by Green Metric. Reportedly, Wageningen University & Research of Netherlands has secured the first spot globally. A total of 31 Indian public and private universities have made it to the global list including reputed universities like IIT Roorkee, IIM Ahmedabad, NIT Silchar, and NIT Karnataka among others.
