Mumbai Experiences Heaviest Rainfall Of The Season So Far
Mumbai has witnessed the heaviest rainfall of the season and the second-highest 24-hour rainfall in a decade on July 15. The heavy downpour resulted in stagnation of water in many areas and bus routes in those areas were diverted. Mithi River was on high alert which resulted in the evacuation of 250 people across the riverbanks to Bail Bazar Municipal schools.

No Central Help In 15 Years For Cleaning Mumbai's Mithi River: RTI
An RTI application filed by activist Anil Galgali revealed that no money has been spent in 15 years by the Centre for the development of Mumbai’s Mithi River.
