Muzaffarnagar Police Exonerates Brothers Charged Against Love Jihad
Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar police have withdrawn charges against two brothers - Nadeem and Salman - who were previously charged under contentious 'Love Jihad' law. The brothers were accused of unlawfully forcing a woman to change her religion, following which an FIR was filed against them in Mansurpur police station. However, SHO Dharmendra Pal has informed the police have given the duo a clean chit due to the absence of evidence.

UP: Goons Post Rate Chart For Committing Crime; Rs 55,000 For Murder
A rate chart for goon services in Muzaffarnagar has gone viral after a youth circulated that on social media. The chart reads the crimes, ranging from minor threats to murder, and the rates for committing them. Reportedly, the goon services are priced between Rs 1,000 to Rs 55,000. The police has identified the youth as the son of a PRD jawan. The police informed that further investigation was underway.

Uttar Pradesh: Minor Girl Given Triple Talaq after Allegedly getting Married to her Rapist
A 10-year-old was allegedly married to her rapist on February 16 and then given triple-talaq in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar. The incident came into light after the minor reached out to the child care helpline whose representative went to counsel the child and handed over the case to the police on August 6. Reportedly, the crime was committed by the brother-in-law of the victim's sister. Budhana police have begun the investigation.
