The Uddhav Thackeray government announced two-day national mourning in memory of legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, who passed away due to post-COVID complications on February 6.  Government sources said, " A two-day national mourning will now be observed in memory of Lata Mangeshkar on February 6 and 7. The National flag will fly at half-mast for two days". Expressing grief over her demise, PM Modi tweeted,"I am anguished beyond words''.
