Olympic Gold Medalist Neeraj Chopra Sets New National Record In Javelin

India's Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra once again made India proud, and set his new record with a throw of 89.30 metres at the Paavo Nurmi Games in Finland.  He secured a silver medal, bettering his own national record of 88.07 meters. Furthermore, after Tokyo Olympics, this is his first International competition. While Chopra secured a silver medal,  Oliver Helander secured gold with a throw of 89.93 metres.

Tokyo Olympics Gold Medalist Neeraj Chopra will receive "Param Vishisht Seva Medal" on Republic Day, January 26. Posted in the four Rajputana Rifles of the Indian Army, athlete Neeraj Chopra is the first Indian to win 2021 Tokyo Olympics in the Javelin Throw event.
