Indian Athletes Payas Jain-Yashaswini Wins Gold Medal At Asian Championship
Indian paddlers Payas Jain and Yashaswini Ghorpade defeated the Chinese duo of Han Xinyuan and Qin Yuxuan 3-2 in a thrilling finals of Asian Junior and Cadet Championships in Laos. The Indian players scored 11-9, 11-1, 10-12, 7-11, and 11-8, and secured a gold medal for India. Furthermore, this was the first gold medal that the Indian juniors have won in an Asian Championships.

Linthoi Chanambam, Indian Judoka, Wins India's 1st-Ever Gold Medal In Cadet World Championships
Linthoi Chanambam, an Indian judoka, made history by winning the country's first-ever gold medal in any age group at the Cadet World Championships in Sarajevo, beating Brazil's Bianca Reis in the women's 57 kg division. On August 26, she defeated her Brazilian opponent 1-0 in the gold medal final. It is India's first gold medal at the World Championships in any age group, whether cadet, junior, or senior.

Indian player Lakshya Sen followed PV Sindhu in winning the badminton men's singles final gold with a win over Ng Tze Yong of Malaysia at the Commonwealth Games 2022 on August 8. On August 2, the women's lawn bowl squad made India proud, after it secured the gold medal against South Africa, in finals. Junior World Championships: Indian Women Shooters Claim Gold, Men Take Bronze
At the ISSF Junior World Championship, Indian shooters won gold in the women's skeet team event in the finals, and the men's team won bronze. Areeba Khan, Raiza Dhillon, and Ganemat Sekhon won gold in the women's event, and the bronze medal was won by Rajveer Gill, Ayush Rudraraju, and Abhay Singh Sekhon.
