UNHCR Says 500,000 People May Flee Afghanistan In Next 4 Months

United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) projected on August 28 that 500,000 Afghans would leave the nation in the next four months due to political instability following the Taliban takeover. However, no mass migration has begun, but UNHCR says the situation might reverse wherein a lot of people will be evacuated. Meanwhile, UNHCR has requested "neighboring nations to keep their borders open to Afghan refugees".
