Tokyo Olympics: P.V. Sindhu Lost Semi-Finals; To Fight For Bronze
World Champion P.V. Sindhu lost the Women's Single Badminton Semi-final to the Taiwanese badminton player Tai Tzu Ying 18-21, 12-21 in 40 minutes at the Tokyo Olympics. P.V. Sindhu will face Chinese badminton player Bingjiao on August 1 for the bronze medal. Besides, Sindhu qualified for the semi-final on July 30 after defeating Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi in the quarterfinals.

PV Sindhu Advances To Elimination Round, Defeats Hong Kong's Cheung
Indian Star Shuttler and world's number seven ranked PV Sindhu advanced to the pre-quarterfinals round 16 in women's singles badminton at the Tokyo Olympics gaining her victory in a straight game against Hong Kong's NY Cheung 21-9, 21-16 on July 28 and cruising to the elimination round. This was Sindhu's sixth win over Cheung. Sindhu is set to play against number 12 ranked Denmark's Mia Blichfeldt.

Tokyo Olympics: PV Sindhu Beats Israel's Polikarpova In First Match
Rio Games Silver Medalist and reigning world champion PV Sindhu secured another round in the Tokyo Games after a straight-game win against Israel's Ksenia Polikarpova in the women's singles group J match on July 25. The "World Number Seven" defeated the 58th ranked Polikarpova 21-7 21-10 with her trademark straight and cross-court smashes and drops. Sindhu will next face Cheung Ngan Yi of Hong Kong.
