Citing the life-threatening COVID-19 situations, the Rajasthan government on November 2 prohibited the sale of firecrackers and directed to limit their use. The state CM Ashok Gehlot said, "Strict measures have been taken to forbid the distribution of fireworks in the province and limit travel of automobiles having defects." There has been a significant rise in air pollution levels across the northern states of the country.

The National Green Tribunal has slapped notices to Rajasthan government and Environment Ministry on building grid sub-station and transmission lines in Jaisalmer's forests, a habitat to endangered Great Indian Bustard (GIB). Alleged of violating Forest Act, 1980 and Biodiversity Act, 2002, the tribunal sought responses from authorities within six weeks. The issue sparked after a GIB died after colliding with power lines. 

Rajasthan BJP President Satish Punia on September 27 slammed the state government saying that the government has failed to handle the protests by tribal community. He stated, "Priority of the Gehlot government is not maintaining law and order." Rajasthan Political crisis which was caused due to a rift in the party, seems to have come to an end after a month, on August 14. Sachin Pilot united with the Chief Minister (CM) and the party, after which CM Ashok Gehlot won the trust vote in the Assembly. "All of us, all 107 of them, are united in the House," said Sachin Pilot.

The Supreme Court heard a plea on August 11, by Rajasthan MLA Madan Dilawar over the disqualification of six BSP MLAs who were elected to the state assembly on a BSP ticket but later merged with Congress. SC is yet to decide on the legality of the Speaker’s decision to recognise the merger, and the transfer of the pending Rajasthan HC case to the Apex Court.
