Rape Victim, Set Ablaze After Crime Succumb To Injuries In Uttar Pradesh
In Uttar Pradesh's Kunwarpur region, a Dalit girl, who was allegedly gangraped and set ablaze by two men on September 7, succumbed to her injuries. The victim was admitted to a hospital in Pilibhit and died on September 19. Furthermore, the deceased girl's body will be handed over to her family after conducting an autopsy. Notably, in the past few months, cases against women are rising in UP, raising concerns.

Kerala HC Permits Pregnancy Abortion At 28 Weeks For Minor Rape Victim
Kerala High Court granted medical termination of a juvenile rape victim's 28-week pregnancy. The "anguish caused by continuation of the pregnancy can be presumed to cause a grave injury to the mental health of the 14-year-old girl," said a medical board. HC also stated if the fetus survived the surgery, the hospital must provide the infant with the finest medical care possible so that it grows into a healthy kid.

Kerala HC Grants Permission To Abort 24 Weeks Pregnancy Of Minor Rape Victim
In a landmark judgement, Kerala HC has granted permission for the medical termination of 24 weeks pregnancy of a 15-year-old rape victim. The court stated that if the baby is born alive, "the hospital shall ensure best medical treatment". The court also stated that if the victim is not willing to assume responsibility for the baby, the government shall provide the baby with medical and other facilities.

Cousin Rapes 12-Year-Old Minor In Uttar Pradesh
In Uttar Pradesh's Bhadohi region, a 12-year-old minor was allegedly raped, confirmed police on March 27. As per PTI, victim's cousin identified as Pradeep, allegedly visited her when she was alone on night of March 25, took her to a secluded area, and raped her. When she returned home, and was admitted to hospital. Victim's parents approached police, which registered a case under IPC and POCSO Act. An investigation underway.

Man Rapes 13 Year Old & Impregnate Her, Arrested In Mumbai
A neighbour allegedly raped a 13-year-old, when she used to be home alone, for months in Mumbai. The incident came to light, when the victim complained of stomach ache and was found to be five-months pregnant. Victim's parents registered a FIR and police arrested the accused from Mira Road. He has been charged under 376 IPC section and POCSO Act, and will be produced in the court on March 25.

Nirmal Municipal Council's Vice Chairman Held For Raping Minor Girl
Nirmal Municipal Council's Vice Chairman Shaikh Sajjad allegedly raped a minor 15-year old girl last month, said police on February 27. The victim was taken to a Hyderabad hotel by the house owner where she lives on the pretext of a sari-function. At the hotel, Sajjad (TRS member) raped her. The incident came into light after victim approached the police, who registered a case under Section 376 of the IPC.

Molested Woman Set Aflame By Accused's Parents For Registering Complaint
A woman was set on fire by the parents of a man, against whom a case of molestation had been filed to the police on August 15. The 30-year-old victim had registered a complaint for harassment and molestation against her neighbour on August 14. Out of anger, the accused's parents took a drastic step. The mother of the accused has been arrested by Kulpahar police.

Twitter Blocks 5,000 Accounts Of Top Congress Leaders'
After blocking Rahul Gandhi's account for sharing pictures of the family of the nine-year-old alleged rape and murder victim, several other accounts of top Congress bigwigs have been barred by Twitter. About 5,000 accounts including former Union minister Jitendra Singh and Mahila Congress president Sushmita Dev have been blocked. Violating the privacy of a minor victim by sharing images is deemed as an offense under the law.
