Iranian Girls Given Poisoned Water To Stop Education
In order to stop girls going school, thousands of girls were poisoned, in Iran. On February 26, Iranian deputy minister Youns Panahi said "some people" were poisoning schoolgirls in the holy city of Qom with the aim of shutting down education for girls. Iran is facing protests after 22-year-old's death, which was under custody for violations of strict dress code of women in Iran, causing issues for girls.

NCPCR Recommends Govt To Implement RTE Act In All Schools
The National Commission of Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) requested the government to implement the Right to Education and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan campaign in minority schools. The NCPCR said ''minority schools are outside the purview of the RTE Act'' as no action will be taken against them for not admitting students from such backgrounds. Overall, 62.50% of students from such schools belong to non-minority communities, the report said.
