Former Union Minister and ex-RJD Leader Raghuvansh Prasad Singh Dies at 74

Former union minister and ex-vice president of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Raghuvansh Prasad Singh (74) passed away on September 13 at AIIMS hospital, Delhi. He was, reportedly, admitted to AIIMS owing to post-COVID complications. Raghuvansh Prasad had quit RJD recently on September 10. He represented Vaishali constituency in Bihar for five consecutive terms and had been in union cabinet for three terms as well.

Bihar: Senior RJD Leader Raghuvansh Prasad Singh Quits Party Ahead of Elections

Senior Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Raghuvansh Prasad Singh quit the party on September 10. This came as a major setback for the opposition party as the Bihar assembly elections are ahead. He had already stepped down from the post of RJD's national vice-president in June. Reportedly, he was upset with his rival and former MP Ramakishore Singh's attempts to join RJD. Singh is currently admitted at AIIMS, Ranchi.
