Naveen Patnaik Shares Odisha's Food Security Progress At WFP Stage In Rome

Odisha's CM Naveen Patnaik shared the progress of Odisha's Food and strengthening of livelihood, on global-stage of Rome. On June 24, Patnaik spoke at the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) headquarters in Rome and said, "It would be our pleasure to share our experience across the world through WFP and its partner agencies". The WFP invited CM Patnaik to visit its HQ and share the State’s transformational initiatives.

India: PM Modi Holds Joint Meeting In Rome Ahead Of G20 Summit

Prime minister Narendra Modi is holding a joint meeting with 'Charles Michel', President of the European Council, and 'Ursula Von Der Leyen,' President of the European Commission in Italy's Rome on October 29. Besides, PM Modi will also participate in the 'G20 Summit' to discuss key global issues. He'll reportedly hold several bilateral meetings, with many leaders of different nations on the sidelines of the summit.

Italy's Colosseum Battle Arena to Get Its Original Look By 2023

The battle arena of Italy's famous monument 'Colosseum' is set to get its original look by 2023. Winning an 18.5-million euro bid, an architectural firm named Milan Ingegneria is eyeing to install a high-tech retractable floor. The retractable floor will enable visitors "to see the majesty of the monument" from the centre. Earlier, it had a wooden floor, which was connected to rooms that acted as waiting rooms for gladiators.

Rome: Khalistani Extremist Attack Indian Embassy At Rome; India Raises Concern

India raises concern against the vandalism issue that took place at the Indian Embassy in Rome prior to the Indian Republic Day. The property was invaded by the Khalistani extremists who raised their flag and wrote "Khalistan Zindabad" across the wall. The incident was recorded as a part of propaganda to provoke uproar. Referring to the incident, India said it's the Italian authority's duty to ensure safety of the Indian Diplomats.

Italy To Launch Covid Tested Flights To Relieve Passengers From Quarantine

To spare the passengers from 14-day quarantine, Italy is planning to start "Covid tested" flights from US’ New York, Newark and Atlanta. Starting in December, passengers will be set free if tested negative for the COVID-19 within 48 hours of departure and arrival in Rome, stated operators of Leonardo da Vinci airport. Currently, Italy has banned tourists and allows only EU citizens and their relatives, students and medical tourists.

In an exceptional instance, Nortosce town of Italy has just two residents and still they are following strict COVID-19 protocols. Giovanni Carilli (82) and Giampiero Nobili (74), making up the town’s population with no neighbours, not only wear masks, but also they hardly leave the town. While Carilli, afraid of the COVID-19 virus, said there is nobody to look after him if he gets sick, Nobilli advocated to follow the rules.
