Indian Air Force Receives 57,000 Applications For Agnipath Scheme Despite Widespread Protests
The Indian Air Force on June 27, recieved 57,000 applications for enrollment into the Agnipath scheme. Meanwhile, Congress party staged 'Satyagraha' at 3,500 assembly headquarters. Congress party also submitted a memorandum to PM Modi urging him to withdraw the Agnipath scheme. The Agnipath scheme is a defence services recruitment process implemented by the centre, which immediately received criticsm and was welcomed by some.

Congress leader Subodh Kant Sahay stirred controversy, as he stated that "PM Modi will die Hitler's death, if he follows his path". The statement came during the party's 'Satyagraha', against ED's questioning of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald Case. The party is also staging protests against the Agnipath Scheme. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi was grilled in the fourth round of questioning by ED.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah Flags Off 'Dandi Cycle Yatra': Ahmedabad
On the occasion of the 92nd anniversary of the Dandi March, Union Home Minister Amit Shah flagged off 'Dandi Cycle Yatra' in Ahmedabad on March 12. The yatra is organized by Gujarat Vidyapeeth which is left from Dandi from Kocharab Ashram. Furthermore, Mahatma Gandhi organized the Dandi March from the Sabarmati Ashram to the village of Dandi. Notably, the non-violent movement was started on March 12, 1930, against Britishers.
