In a relief to the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena sack, the Bombay High Court allowed a Dussehra rally at Shivaji Park, Mumbai, Maharashtra. On September 23, the HC also noted that the Mumbai civic abused power in the case and said, "We are satisfied that in this case the BMC has abused the power by rejecting the application citing another application." Moreover, the court also rejected Eknath Shinde's intervention plea.
Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut, who is currently under custody in a money laundering case linked to a housing project in Mumbai, applied for bail. On September 7, he filed a petition before a special court in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Notably, Raut's bail plea is likely to come up for hearing before judge MG Deshpande, presiding over the special PMLA court, on September 8.

Hearing the Shiv Sena V/S Shiv Sena case, the Supreme Court referred the case relating to the claim over Shiv Sena to a constitution bench. On August 23, the Apex Court also asked the Election Commission, not to pass any order regarding the plea of Eknath Shinde over the symbol, until August 25. The larger constitutional bench will consider the plea of Uddhav Thackeray over party claims on August 25.
Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut, who is presently in judicial custody in connection with the money laundering case, is writing a book from Arthur Road jail. Mumbai's special Judge MG Deshpande reviewed the Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut Patra Chawl scam case, and extended the judicial custody to September 5. Notably, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut has been booked for a money laundering case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) Act and is being investigated for the Patra Chawl scam case, by the Enforcement Directorate. Raut was arrested on August 1.
Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde expanded his Cabinet, and included 18 MLAs as ministers, nine each from the BJP and Shiv Sena action, on August 9. However, there is no women in the ministry, which caused a stir amongst the opposition. Notably, National Congress Party (NCP) MP Supriya Sule lashed out at the Shiv Sena-BJP Government for not including any women in the Cabinet. "It shows BJP's mindset," said Sule.

Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde is scheduled to visit Nanded district, on August 8. The visit comes following Shiv Sena's Nanded chief Umesh Munde and several others were expelled for allegedly indulging in "anti-party" activities. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut, arrested in a money laundering case by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) will be produced before a special court in Mumbai, on August 8. As per sources, ED sought more than eight days of custody of Raut, as the custody ends on August 8. Furthermore, the ED also assured to make remarkable progress in the investigation of the irregularities in the Patra Chawl re-development case.

The Supreme Court, which reviewed the plea of Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena, over symbol battle, asked the Election Commission not to take any decision for now on the Eknath Shinde faction's plea. The bench led by CJI NV Ramana directed the EC to hold the decision regarding the symbol grant on Shinde's plea until next hearing. The bench would take a call regarding the Maharashtra political crisis on August 8.
