CM MK Stalin Appeals For Mother Tongue Education In Tamil Nadu Institutes
Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin while inaugurating a school, emphasized on the need for education in mother tongue. On May 27, during the inauguration event, he said, "Educational institutions should give encouragement to education in the mother tongue and schemes must be named using the Tamil language". Notably, the statement came during the inauguration of a new school of the DAV Group in suburban Pallikaranai, to help state-run schools.

Tamil Nadu Govt Mandates Passing Tamil Exams For Govt Jobs
Tamil Nadu Government passed an order to make Tamil exams mandatory for all government jobs in TN. Students who don't know the language should clear a Class X-level Tamil test within two years of entering the service in order to get placed. "Candidates must get a minimum of 40% marks to qualify in the Class X-level exam," said Mythili K Rajendran, Human Resource Management Secretary.
