Tamil Nadu Govt Announces Sep 11 As Mahakavi Day
The Tamil Nadu Government led by MK Stalin, announced to celebrate Mahakavi Day, on September 11. The death anniversary of nationalist poet and freedom fighter Subramania Bharati, which falls on September 11, will be observed as Mahakavi Day, said Tamil Nadu Government on September 10. State ministers would pay floral tributes to a statue of the firebrand poet here on Sunday.

Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin Meets Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan In Thiruvananthapuram
Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin traveled to Thiruvananthapuram, to hold a meet with Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan on September 2. Reportedly, various projects related to Tamil Nadu and Kerala were discussed. Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu’s IT minister Mano Thangaraj appreciated Kerala’s IT development, and said that a high-level team will be sent to Kerala to study the developments.

CM MK Stalin Expresses Stance Against NEP, Calls It ‘Stumbling Block’: Tamil Nadu
Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin on August 30, said that the government apart from opposing National Education Entrance Test (NEET), is also against the National Education Policy (NEP). He stated that the NEP “is not a stepping stone, but a stumbling block”. He further stated, “we are resisting because we are a society which fought for the right to education”. The CM also intends on framing a State Education Policy.

Tamil Nadu Announces Free Breakfast Scheme For Primary Students At CCMC Schools
Tamil Nadu Government announced a free breakfast scheme for primary school students, confirmed MK Stalin-led government. Approximately 7.618 students from Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC), 1,119 students from Mettupalayam and 730 from Madukkarai Municipalities of Coimbatore district will get benefitted from the scheme. Man Arrested For Throwing Footwear At Minister Palanivel Thiagarajan's Car: Tamil Nadu
Tamil Nadu police have arrested a man for allegedly hurling footwear at state's finance minister Palanivel Thiagarajan's car. The incident occurred when the minister was returning after paying homage to a slain Indian Army soldier hailing for the district. After a heated argument with BJP workers, one member blocked Thiagarajan's car at the airport, and hurled footwear, which got stuck in the windshield, reported PTI.

Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin Discharged From Hospital After Contracting COVID-19; Casts Vote In Presidential Polls
Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin who was admitted to hospital after he contracted COVID-19, has been discharged. Following his discharge, he arrived at the secretariat complex at around 10 am, and was the first to cast his vote in the complex. The presidential polls to elect the 15th president of India began on July 18, and votes counting of votes is scheduled to take place on July 21.

Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin Recovering Well & In Good Health: Hospital
The hospital treating Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin gave an update about his current condition, stating that Stalin is "recovering well and in good health". CM Stalin tested postive for COVID-19, and was admitted to Kauvery hospital, on July 13. Meanwhile, PM Modi over a phone call, wished CM Stalin a speedy recovery. Tamil Nadu CM Stalin Admitted To Hospital For Covid-19 Related Symptoms
Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin has been admitted to the hospital for investigations and observation amid covid-related symptoms, on July 14. Stalin, who tested positive for Covid-19, on July 12, was under home isolation, but suffered mild symptoms, and was shifted to the hospital. Meanwhile, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) workers wished him a speedy recovery. Besides DMK, TN Governor RN Ravi also extended recovery wishes to Stalin.
