Punjab: Mob Beats Cops For Catching Rape Accused Fellow Villager
A team of six policemen, in Tur village of Punjab's Tarn Taran district, was attacked on April 1 by a mob attempting to free their rape accused kin. A viral video of the incident showed the policemen were being attacked and a woman was lying on road to obstruct the police vehicles. Reportedly, the officers had conducted a raid after getting a tip-off about a 2017-crime accused Bhupinder Singh hiding at his relative's place.

Punjab Police Busts Man For Killing Wife; Later Files Missing Complaint
Punjab police on March 26 arrested a Tarn Taran-based man Jaswinder Singh for killing his wife Manpreet Kaur and filing a missing complaint.
