5 Members Of Family Including 2 Children Found Dead At Home: Kerala
In Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram, near Kallambalam, five members of a family including two minor children were found dead. A man was found hanging, and the other four were found lying dead on the ground, suspected to have consumed poison. According to the police, it is a case of suspected suicide, however further conclusions can only be made after detailed probe. The matter came to light when a relative paid a visit.

Sexual Assault Case: Kerala Police Arrest Malayalam Actor Vijay Babu In Ernakulam
Malayalam actor and producer Vijay Babu has been arrested in a sexual assault case, on June 27. Kerala police made the arrest when Babu appeared before the Ernakulam Town South police station. Since Babu has already obtained an anticipatory bail from Kerala HC, he is expected to be released soon. Babu has been charged with a sexual assault case, and for revealing her identity on social media.

Kerala Govt Revises Power Tariff After 3 Years, Hikes By 6.6%

Kerala Based Freedom Fighter K Ayyappan Pillai Passes Away At 107
K Ayyappan Pillai, an Indian Freedom Fighter, died at the age of 107 due to age-related illness at Thiruvananthapuram's private hospital in Kerala, on January 5. He completed his graduation from Trivandrum's Law College. Reportedly, he started his political career at the Indian National Congress on the advice of Mahatma Gandhi. Later, he also served as a figurehead of the BJP during the formation of the party in the state.
