Native Of Andhra Pradesh Dies In US After Hit By Train
A native of Andhra Pradesh, Srikanth Degala, a 39-year-old Indian-origin man has died in the US after a passenger train struck him when he was walking on tracks in New Jersey. Getting into details, the pedestrian was hit by an Amtrak train en route to Boston from Washington, when he was walking on the tracks east of Princeton Junction. He was pronounced dead on the scene, confirmed sources.

18 Year Old Engineering Student Killed After Train Run Over
An 18-year-old girl, studying engineering was killed after being hit by a train while crossing the tracks at Palghar railway station. The incident was confirmed by the Railway Police on February 22. The deceased was a student of St John College of Engineering at Palghar and was hit by August Kranti Express. The details of the deceased is yet to be known and an investigation is underway.

Train Derailed In Mathura, Traffic Halted: Uttar Pardesh
The rail traffic between Mathura & Delhi was halted following the derailment of Ghaziabad-bound cargo train, sources said on January 22. The incident took place on January 21 at about 11:30 pm, when several coaches of the train derailed, due to which both up and down routes and the third line were affected. The coaches were loaded with cement, and hundreds of men have been deployed to remove the coaches.

Goods Train Ram Into Elephants Crossing Tracks In Odisha; 1 Dead, 2 Injured
In Odisha's Khordha district, one elephant was killed while two suffered injuries after being hit by a goods train near Bhusandapur railway station under Tangi Forest. The incident happened at around 9 pm on December 25, when the jumbos were trying to cross the railway tracks, reported ANI. Forest ranger Rabindranath Panda said that the search has been launched to trace the injured animals.
