Unique! TN Couple Sends QR-Code Printed Wed Cards To Get Gifts Online
In an efforts to maintain social distancing amidst Covid-19 pandemic, a couple from Tamil Nadu's Madurai came up with an innovative idea of collecting wedding gifts digitally. The idea convinced the bride to print QR codes on their invitation card, which was meant for the guests to hand-over cash directly into their accounts instead of an envelope. Reportedly, the move also helped those relatives who couldn't make it to the function.

Rajasthan: Weddings With Over 100 Attendees To Be Fined Rs 25,000
After witnessing a sudden spike in COVID-19 cases, the Rajasthan government has decided to impose a fine of Rs 25,000 if the number of people attending a wedding crosses 100. It stated the wedding organisers' must ensure that number of attendees does not go beyond 100. Earlier, the government increased the amount of fine for not wearing masks from Rs 200 to Rs 500, while imposing a nigh-curfew in eight districts.

Haryana: Florist Raped In Paliwal; Police Identify Three Accused
The Haryana Police on October 5 said that it has identified the three accused who allegedly gang-raped a woman in Palwal area. Reportedly, the 25-year-old woman, a florist by profession, was called on October 4 to work for a wedding, where she was coerced into a room and raped. The Police have filed cases under IPC section 376-D(gang-rape) and 506(criminal intimidation). However, the accused are still on the run.
