Union Govt Launches Credit Guarantee Schemes For Startups In India
In order to extend support to start-ups in India, the BJP-led Central Government announced "Credit Guarantee Scheme". On October 7, the Commerce Union Minister Piyush Goyal said, "Government enables eligible companies to borrow collateral-free money up to Rs 10 crore making sure they reach their true potential,." The move will help micro businesses and start-up establishments to not only take risks but, provide guaranteed loan schemes.

NITK Students Design E-Bike For Forest Department: Karnataka
National Institute of Technology Karnataka students designed an e-bike for the forest department. This mobility drive can be solar-powered and charge walkie-talkies, mobiles, or GPS systems. The headlight can be dismantled into a portable torch. ''This e-bike was designed keeping in mind the need of the forest department and officials,'' reported ANI. ''We'd like to thank NITK for giving us this opportunity,'' said Rakshith, a student.

'iDEX4Fauji' Introduced To Encourage Innovations Among Army Personnel
The Defence Ministry has launched a program, 'iDEX4Fauji', to promote innovative ideas by members of the Indian Armed Forces. The program, launched by Rajnath Singh, will also reward the Army staff. Ministry said that this was a first-of-its-kind initiative and "will bolster frugal innovation ideas from soldiers/ field formations.” It opined that since many of them work on the ground, they would have ideas to improve equipment.
