UP CM Chairs High Level Review Meeting Amid Flood Situation

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath chaired a high-level meeting in the wake of widespread rainfall in the state. UP CM Yogi Adityanath Set To Name 2 Leopard Cubs At Gorakhpur Zoo

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath is scheduled to name two leopard cubs at Gorakhpur zoo, and will also let a white tigress into the main enclosure of the zoo. Reportedly, the white tigress Geeta, was brought in around two and a half months ago, and the move comes amid the ongoing wildlife week celebrations at the zoo. The CM’s program is scheduled on October 5, and all preparations are underway.

Noida Housing Society’s Wall Collapses; 4 Dead, 9 Rescued

In Uttar Pradesh’s Noida, the boundary wall of a residential complex in sector 21 collapsed, killing four people, on September 20. District Magistrate Suhas LY said that the incident took place after the boundary wall of the Jal Vayu Vihar Society collapsed during the cleaning work of a drain adjacent to it. The drain cleaning was reportedly conducted by the Noida authority.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath Issues Flood Alert To 10 Districts

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued flood alerts across ten districts, following an increase in the water level of Kuano river at Chandradeep ghat. Flood alerts have been issued to Gonda, Basti, Ambedkar Nagar, Sant Kabir Nagar, Gorakhpur, Azamgarh, Deoria, Mau, Ballia and Ayodhya. He further gave instructions to the district magistrates and Superintendents of Police to take precautionary measures.

Levana Hotel Fire Tragedy: UP Govt Fires 15 Persons From 5 Different Departments For Negligence

The state government of Uttar Pradesh has fired 15 persons from five different departments for their alleged negligence that led to the fire tragedy at a hotel in Lucknow. The departments which are held liable include Lucknow Development Authority (LDA), Lucknow Electricity Supply Administration (LESA), District Administration, Fire Services, Lucknow Municipal Corporate and Excise  Department. Two Arrested For Stealing Newborn Baby In Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut

Two persons in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut, have been arrested for allegedly stealing a newborn from the Meerut Medical College. This has come after a complaint was filed by the baby’s father. The complainant stated that a day after his wife gave birth in the hospital, his baby went missing. Police recovered the baby from the wife of a priest, at around 3 am. The baby has been returned safely.

UP Banda Boat Capsize Incident: 12 Bodies Recovered, 3 Still Missing

Officials have recovered the bodies of 12 persons, while the search for three more is underway, in Uttar Pradesh's Banda district, following a boat mishap. The boat which capsized was reportedly carrying around 40 passengers including eight women and four children. The passengers were heading to meet their relatives on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. Meanwhile, CM Yogi Adityanath has announced Rs 4 lakh, to the kin of the deceased.
