Fearing Infiltrations, J&K Extends Ban On 4G Internet Till January 8
The Jammu and Kashmir administration on December 25 extended the ban on 4G internet till January 8, except for the districts of Ganderbal and Udhampur. Restricting the internet speed to 2G, the authorities believe that this will help to curtail the cross-border infiltration. The administration stated that after the successful completion of District Development Council elections, the "peace and tranquility" of the region might be targetted by hostile elements.
